June is National LGBT Pride Month, and here in DC, it’s time for the biggest celebration of the year! Help your business get involved in this city-wide event with these ideas:
Share Your Story
If you or your staff have any personal connection or experiences with the LGBT community (and you feel comfortable sharing), spread the word. Post videos, photos, or blog posts sharing what Pride Month means to you.
Show Your Support
Don’t limit your corporate giving to December. June is the perfect time to make donations or volunteer with an LGBT-supporting nonprofit, such as The Trevor Project, GLAD, PFLAG, or Pride Foundation.
Give Some Swag
Show your support in person by handing out helpful swag (with your company’s branding) during Pride festivities and parades. We recommend sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottles, and fanny packs.
