Now that you’ve established how your company will be giving back, as well as your annual initiative schedule, it’s time to share your work with the world! Giving back is a fantastic way to “put your money where your mouth is” when it comes to caring about your community. Show your clients you care with these tips for spreading the word.
Establish Event Branding
Just like branding is vital to your company’s identity, it’s also important to the identity of your initiatives. Give your work a name, logo, and branding concept to help people remember how you serve your community and to stand out from your competitors.
Record the Day
Take more than a few quick snapshots at your event. Be sure to have a few different people taking photos, videos, and Facebook or Instagram livestreams on the day of your initiative. For photo posts, use a mix of group photos that show how much participation you had and action shots that show your team working hard.
Show Your Results
It’s easy to say you give back, but clients care about more than intention. What impact are you having in the community? Try to give numbers when possible - number of donated books, hours spent volunteering, or children served.
4. Make it Personal
Oftentimes we are inspired to give by hearing the personal stories of individuals who need our help. Inspire those around you by sharing the stories of those you have served. You never know who you may motivate to join you in your path to making a difference!
